Pre-Requisites: Vehicle Rescue - Operations
This is a 2-day course and meets the requirements of NFPA 1006 Chapter #8. Building on skills acquired from the Dynamic Rescue Technician (Common Vehicle) course, students will be introduced to advanced scenarios using Cranes or Rotator Trucks, Heavy Struts with Chains, cable pullers or tirfors, heavy hydraulics including spreaders, cutters, rams and various pneumatics.
Students will learn about the variety of types of commercial/heavy vehicle(s) and their construction, additional hazards associated with these vehicles, and a variety of tactics that will assist in safe operations and successful incident mitigation.
